Which one ?...

When looking the Title , it is obvious to answer Whole Printer has to be tuned well. My question is which part is more important.

We already seen many different digital printers, solvent,eco solvent, textile and uv on market.

Some uses same printhead but quality is much more lower than others, Some use different ...

If you willing to buy a printer which is not known brand such as HP,Fuji,Mimaki,Roland..., then Need to check  following points :

• Which printheads using?
• Is there Temperature control on this system? Electronically and manually together...
• Media Advance system check. If you dont test it, you cannot find how skip the media advance.
• How easy to find problems and solve it? I am not talking about User or Technical Manual.It is about How simple or complicate your printer...

These are some of basic points need to be clarify.

For Me Printhead is the heart of printer ,however Heart control by Brain which is electronically and mechanically well tuned.

I  see ,some of new ,young generation European Printers coming very well such as,

*  Old Grapo New Sigmajet UV printers from Chech Republic

* Aeoon -T-shirt printer from Austria

* Eurotechprinters from Turkey

There is many aspects for your decision making for these printers.Such as:

1.Printer Speed: There is many models but mostly Mimaki and Mutoh printer is higher speed than Roland as well known on the market.
2.Print Quality: Roland is known better quality than Mimaki and Mutoh. This is very small quality different each due to Epson technology.

3.Quality based: All of them are quality and high standart printers ,however Roland mechanics are little robust them others.

No one accepts to pay high for anything.


We also look for cheap outdoor printer , however we dont known which we should choose.


If we go Roland,Mimaki,Mutoh, quality high ,service nice but cost is also high...


If we go any Chinese printer, Faster than Japanese ,quality is acceptable in some places however service and 


support is headache.


There should be some solution on market where Cheap and acceptable quality where market seek around.

1-Mimaki coming out more powerful on market with new printers....


2-New family based printer manufacturers, like Eurotechprinters,MS.... also has interesting solutions.

If you have Mimaki JV5 printer,

One of leading products which launched almost 4-5 years ago Mimaki JV5 come out to market with printouts upto 40 sqm with original inks .

As Mimaki Japan with precise and high quality production ,DX5 based JV5 has serious issues with 4 staggered head  due to ink flow sensitivity.

Most of clients who has JV5 and using original inks has no complain about speed but complaints are coming out with Scratchability of ink.

If they use 3rd part inks,they have a lot issues on ink dropping out and lowerin speed due to increase pass speed.

Here are the Inks recommended for Mimaki JV5 printers:


1.INX DIGITAL ,JVV SERIES: This series doesnt block head but need print higher pass and lower speed.

2.MARABU: This series have also same issues.

3.BORDEOUX INKS: (Prime Series) have common sense of scratchability issue.

4.Stetjet Inks (www.stetjet.com) : Most closest ink to original Mimaki JV5 ink is this but it is also scratchability issue.


I tried some Far East products ,Jetbest and Blackjet is not enough capabilities for Mimaki JV5  production and print quality.
